What equipment does the price include?

Use of all the above equipment. 6 lights, triggers modifiers, stands and much more!!

Can I rent the studio for one hour?

Yes, but we need to factor in the setup time for the lights, it will be much more cost-effective hiring for 2+ hours.

Does the price include a photographer and or a camera?

No. But there will be an assistant on hand. If you have no previous experience of studio shooting the assistant will help you to set up the lights.

We can offer a photographer to provide coaching, full photography services including editing and supplying printed copies as add ons to the hire.

Which cameras are compatible with the lights?

All modern DSLR/ Mirrorless Camera with a hot-shoe should be good. Please check with us before hiring the studio if you are unsure.

What camera settings should I set on my camera?

Check that your camera has the flash turned on, it will sync up to around 1/200 of a second. Your aperture will be around F8 – F11, and ISO as low as possible. Usually, with studio lights you will need to have narrow aperture unless you move the lights further away, bring an ND filter or switch to HSS lights. ( We do have some that can be hired, but this will need to be requested before the shoot as they are also used offsite ) We are looking to do some classes in off-camera flash outdoors using HSS so watch out for our classes.

Can I hire a camera as well?

Yes, we have various camera including a Nikon D850, Nikon Z6 and Nikon D800. Please check our add ons for prices.

Am I covered for liability?

No- that is the photographer’s own responsiblity. Health and safety is the photographer’s responsibility before any shoot and there will be someone at hand, but we are in no way liable for health and safety issues. If you are unsure please have photographer’s liability cover, and we can provide a studio assistant who will help ensure safe use of the studio.

Can I do a family photoshoot?

Yes, but please request beforehand as there are numerous lights and other equipment in the studio. We will provide an assistant to help look after the children, this will be required to be added at extra cost on for any hire of the studio. Please contact us with the ages and details of how many people are coming.

Does the studio have accessibility?

Yes and no. the access has some steep steps, and around 3 flights of stairs. There is a lift but we have had constant issues with the reliability of the lift. Please contact us and we can arrange a shoot at another location for no extra cost, or check on the day that the lift is working correctly!!

Do you provide a model or model photography services?

We can help find a model or you can bring your own. It could be better for you to attend one of our creative model shoots or general portrait sessions if you need a model!!
